Abstract: The violence in its many terms and expressions has become in recent years one of the problems that most distressed the company, whether due to the disclosure of the facts or statistics daily, or a widespread feeling of insecurity and mistrust which propagates. The family is the first group, the first school, the first community and the first experience of exercise of citizenship that every individual experience, and that experience deeply marked, and often determining the trajectory of life. However, as “ties of consanguinity not provide the love,” often the convivial family is marked by domestic violence, whose main victims are children, adolescents and women. The family and school institutions are fundamental to the healthy development of children and young people, should encourage the strengthening emotional and smooth preparation for the confrontation of life by the young. To witness and experience domestic violence occurs the failure and abandonment school. The symptom of not learning reflected in a compulsion to failure, that is, the child does not feel worthy of learning, or trying to draw attention to its internal problem, as a kind of coded communication. Both school failures may be the cause of aggressive behavior; the violence can motivate the low academic performance.
