Abstract: This dissertation emphasizes the importance of tutoring and support in regular classes in mathematics, is an alternative to making the teaching of mathematics more meaningful to the students thereby contributing to the income and development of individual skills of reasoning, organization, attention and concentration. Aims to seek a theoretical – practical, in order to subsidize the pedagogical action, aimed at ensuring an education of excellence. It talks also about the knowledge of mathematics, as the student learns by relating its importance and the difficulties in learning mathematics, held to educate the 6th grade of elementary school by applying a questionnaire on a trial basis and statement of income comparative table. It further states that mathematics is present in all human activity, while teaching the discipline to foster the development of skills and basic skills, because as an exact science, is part of our everyday lives and that the educator can provide a more complete education, individualized, enjoyable and efficient with the student.
