Abstract: This research intends to address the issue of the well-being inherent to each human being, through dialogue with the knowledge arising from the field of psychology and the field of education, in the light of the principles of popular education, propagated by master Paulo Freire. In this sense, we discuss the interrelationship between education and the knowledge of psychology aimed at human development, the contributions of psychology when it is at the service of the emancipatory principles of education, we debate about the possibilities of creating knowledge of psychology in the light of the principles of education popular, and we analyze education as liberation, considering the contributions of psychology added to education. Still, we investigate the connection between psychology focused on school education and popular education, highlighting some possibilities of praxis both in the field of psychology and in the educational field.
