Abstract: School Physical Education plays a fundamental role in line with Psychomotricity, becoming a very important tool for students, helping with motor, cognitive and affective development. This research aims to analyze school physical education in motricity as a contribution to the learning of 4 th grade elementary school students. Under this view, we performed a quanti-qualitative field study, selecting the analytic research level. The present study mapped the psychomotor profile of 10 4th grade elementary school students from Escola Municipal Ivanor Pereira, municipality of Caicó-RN, Brazil, verifying their motor age against their chronological one. We also observed whether they presented learning problems related to the lack of motor stimulation in psychomotricity development. We applied psychomotor battery according to Oliveira (2013). In this way, we realized that, when motor skills are not well developed in a school context, there will be psychomotor deficits among students, which reflect on the learning and teaching process. Through psychomotricity it is possible to expand properly all aspects such as wide motor coordination, fine motor coordination, balance, laterality, body scheme, spatial structuring and pupil’s temporal orientation.
