Abstract:

Analyzing the Evaluation Process of Public Schools has been a central challenge for professionals and researchers in the area of Education, being part of the daily classroom, occurring in a consecutive and organized way, as one of the integral aspects of the teaching and learning process. According to the bibliographic study developed, it is possible to identify the conceptions of different authors about evaluation, through books, scientific articles and periodicals, aiming at the proposed objectives. In order to carry out this dissertation, the field research was also applied using a questionnaire as a data collection instrument, investigating how the teachers of the Municipality of Elementary School of the Municipality of Pedra Branca-PB, use the evaluation, allowing the obtaining necessary information to evaluate the school context in all its dimensions for the development of successful pedagogical practices. The objective of this study is to analyze how the teachers of the Municipal Public School of the initial years of Elementary Education develop the evaluation process in teaching and learning practice, to understand evaluation as a permanent process of learning and transformation; to describe the evaluation practice in the teachers' daily routine in the municipal public network of the initial years of elementary education, to identify the evaluation modalities in the teaching and learning process applied in the municipal public schools of the initial years of Elementary School. For purposes of analysis, we used the qualitative and quantitative approach, as well as the explanatory method, which for our understanding is the most appropriate way. By means of the results and the construction of the theoretical structure, it can be concluded that the evaluation is still focused on classification, with the grade as a fundamental point. Even if teachers have modern perceptions about assessment, they find it difficult to transform the procedure into a classroom.
