Abstract:The theme on Teacher Training and Practices is at the center of the discussions that integrate research in the educational field. Since it is true to believe in a quality education perspective, and thus to realize the importance for a systematic study on Training and Teaching Practice. This dissertation had as general objective: to analyze how the formation and the practice of teachers is provided and what their reflexes in the learning of the students of the municipal schools of the Elementary School of the initial years in Itaporanga – PB. In order to reach this objective, other specific ones were realized as: to verify the formations developed by the municipality of Itaporanga for the improvement of the learning of the students; specify the training of elementary school teachers in the initial years of municipal schools; analyze and analyze pedagogical practices and understand the contributions of teacher training in their classroom functions; and then discover the reflexes of teacher training in student learning. The research methodologically includes bibliographical and empirical studies with data collection at the Municipal Department of Education, together with the schools of action of the teachers in the municipality of Itaporanga – PB. For this, a mixed method was approached, using two ways of collecting data concomitantly, integrating information about the deductive and inductive methods. The type of research was field, of an explanatory level, articulating structured questionnaires (closed questions) and semi-structured questionnaires (open questions) as a data production instrument, which was of fundamental importance for data construction. Thus, the following authors were used as references in the discussions about Teaching Formation: Saviani (2008,2009), Novóa (2009), Pimenta (1999), Silva (2009), Alves, et al. 1946,1971,1996), Meneses (1998), among others, which evidenced the different education reforms and the conceptions of trajectories of teacher training policies in Brazil. In the discussions on pedagogical practices and teaching knowledge was based on: Freire (1996), Tardif (2002), Zabala (1998). In the reflections on Learning the authors stand out: Pinto (2003), Campos (2008). It is hoped that this work will contribute to the personal and professional development of the teachers of municipal schools of Itaporanga and their consequent potential in the training of students.
