Abstract:

The present research study, in a succinct way, aims to analyze and, from a bibliographical perspective, elucidate the comprehensive description of the theme described regarding the use of traditional recreational games in physical education classes in elementary school classes in early years. The research process seeks to dialogue about restorative measures that contribute to the mediation of conflicts, acting and developing with the actors that form a society. Thus, the general objective of this investigation was to analyze the practice of traditional recreational games in physical education classes in the early years of elementary school. Regarding the methodology, a bibliographic survey was carried out that makes up the theoretical framework and a field research through interviews with eight (eight) teachers who work in municipal schools located in the Regional do Caldeirão in the city of Araci - Bahia. In the field research carried out, it can be understood that working with traditional games in education classes in Elementary School favors the teaching-learning process, developing the perpetuation of culture, in addition to helping in the development of motor coordination, body and mental balance of the student. From the teachers' statements, it was understood that traditional games help in the development of body culture and in the development of the teaching-learning process. It was concluded that traditional games constitute an important section of the current Physical Education curriculum in Elementary School. It is, therefore, mandatory that the teacher promotes and disseminates the cultural and historical background with activities that have always been very close to the students' family environments.
