Abstract:

Knowing that evaluation is an important pedagogical practice instrument, since it is through it that it is possible to monitor the performance of students, the present study intended to understand about learning school‟s conceptions and challenges of teachers in a public school located in Olinda City, aiming to identify the evaluative practices of teachers, their contributions in the teaching and learning process, in addition to analyzing the challenges and perspectives of this evaluative process during the Covid-19 Pandemic. It had as reference, in the theoretical field of learning assessment, the studies of Silva and Santos (2013), Libâneo (1991), Luckesi (2002), Law of Guidelines and Bases of Education (LDB) (1996), among other authors. To do so, an electronic survey by Google Forms was developed referring to the professional data of the participants in semistructured interviews about aspects of assessment and other dimensions of remote learning. This research is descriptive and exploratory, and the data analysis was set out from the collection of these results, using a quali-quantitative approach. These data showed the teacher difficulties to keep up assessment activities at school or in a remotely way and identify students need, cause pedagogical assessment practice is one of the main problems faced by teachers nowadays. It was verified the conceptual conflict related to the teachers about changes in the current teaching. They have difficulties of reporting and using digital platforms and technological equipment, such as network problems, quality in connection and a lack of continuing education available to teachers offered by the Department of Education. This context set out unmotivated classes and they did not promote a meaningful learning. Thus, teachers assign the responsibility of not achieving the goals proposed to the current system educational due to the lack of conditions offered to teachers and also students interfering in the teaching and learning process in a widely approach. Therefore, it is important to propose reflection moments on pedagogical practice, by offering ongoing activities , tools and internet connection in order to develop a better learning process. The assessment needs to aim at the learning way in which teachers can follow a gradual process and set on their work of transforming society.
