Abstract:

In order to read and write, favorable conditions, knowledge and interactions with different methodologies are necessary, in which the right to quality education must be guaranteed to all Brazilian citizens. It is from reading and writing that we discover the human being of the contemporary world and without these skills man becomes limited and without knowledge of the literate world. Therefore, many scholars are researching this topic and analyzing innovative practices that support the development of these skills. The research proposal is directly linked to the methodological practices and the reading and writing difficulties of students in the municipal elementary school network, in the municipality of Buíque/PE. Therefore, the objective of this proposal was to understand the influence of pedagogical practices on reading and textual productions of fifth grade students in Municipal Schools “Engineer Klaysson de Freitas Araújo, “Dr. José Cursino Galvão” and “Carolina Guedes de almeida. The research was field, descriptive and with a quantitative and qualitative approach, with the participants being 90 students and 06 professors from both institutions. For data collection, semi-structured questionnaires were used, with objective and subjective questions. According to the results in the reading activities, we can observe the levels of reading and writing, since one is directly connected to the other. In the written productions, we verified the systemic causes that lead the students to have an aversion to it, enumerating the degree of difficulties of the 5th grade classes of the schools under study. We encourage the entire school and family team, especially the teachers who are in daily contact with them in the educational process, to reflect on their pedagogical practices to overcome the problems faced in the fifth years of elementary school, and consequently also in the years to come. It is concluded that educators have great challenges to be faced, even without participating in continuing education, they need to improve their teaching strategies to work with students in the fifth years of research pole schools, as they need special attention, emphasizing the reading and writing practices to respond efficiently so that these skills are continuous to form proficient readers, solving reading/writing difficulties.
