The University of Biblical Studies VCUU (Veni Creator Christian University) exists to train up leaders to serve and lead in all arenas: business, education, politics, engineering, and ministry, among others. The University accomplishes this by equipping students with knowledge, understanding, and skills in light of scriptural truth. Through a thorough equipping, in knowledge of the Bible, development of godly character, communicating and collaborating effectively, and thinking both critically and creatively, graduates are empowered to make an impact for Christ as they fulfill their calling as servants and leaders in families, communities, churches, and workplaces throughout our nation and the world.

Admission Requirements

Individuals seeking admission to a Calvary Chapel University Biblical Studies program must:

  • Complete and submit the online application form on our website;
  • Pay an application fee:
    Certificate Program: $50,
    Undergraduate Program: $50,
    Graduate Program: $100.
  • Request official transcripts for high school and all college or university coursework. Verification of high school completion or an equivalent must be verified by the Registrar through official transcripts prior to admissions, enrolling, and matriculation;
  • Overall grade point average requirements:
    Certificate Program: GPA 2.0 minimum
    Undergraduate Program: GPA 2.0 minimum
    Graduate Program: GPA 3.0 minimum
  • Complete Student Reference Requests.

The spiritual requirements for admission involve demonstrating a commitment to Christ and to the authority of Scripture, and is evidenced by a lifestyle of consistent Christian character and the utilization of spiritual gifts for the building up of the Body of Christ.

Notification of Admission

Once the Admissions Office receives a completed application, confer official transcripts of earned credits or an earned 4-year undergraduate degree (verified by the Registrar), references and fees, the Admissions Committee will make a decision regarding acceptance.  Applicants can expect to receive notification within one week of the application being complete.  Once an admission decision is made, applicants will receive information on registration, finances, and new student orientation. Upon acceptance at VCCU, students must complete an Enrollment Agreement prior to course registration.

Technology Requirements

Applicant’s skills and competencies to succeed in a distance education environment are assessed prior to acceptance via official transcripts, the online application, and required admission materials including a personal testimony to determine spiritual readiness.

Online Instructional Methods

Courses are disseminated 100% online through Programs in the University of Biblical Studies will use instructional methods such as, but not limited to: video lectures, reading and writing assignments, discussion boards, quizzes, and tests.

Online Grading Practices

The final tests or exams are subject-specific and are assessed using an evaluation grid. Passing grades are determined by each teacher and indicated in the syllabus. Within 48 hours of submitting the work, it is graded and the grade is published in the subject’s online gradebook. Students have access to view their personal grades at any time. There is no sending of institutional replies or assessments of students’ work. All grading and communication with students is done on the VCCU website, and or online operating system.
